The SANKOFA EXPERIENCE

Hosted by Roots 101 as a musical/theatrical showcase that highlights important events in African American history. These events span from struggles during slavery to the civil rights movement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We strive to make our museum accessible to everyone. Our facility is wheelchair accessible. There is an elevator located next to the entrance that will allow guests to visit the second floor. Please let us know if you have any other special needs and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

  • Yes. There is paid parking along the street and an additional parking lot located next to the Museum.

  • Yes. Individual self-guided tours are $8.00 for military and guests 65+ while guided tours are $10.
