Roots 101: African American Museum Opens in New Home

Louisville, KY - The Roots 101 African American Museum, a new museum dedicated to celebrating and educating the public on the rich history and culture of African Americans, will be holding its grand opening on June 12th, 2021. The museum is located at 819 West Main Street in Louisville, Kentucky.

The museum features over 20,000 square feet of exhibit space showcasing the contributions, struggles, and achievements of African Americans throughout history. The museum's exhibits include displays on the African American experience during slavery, the Civil Rights Movement, and the contributions of African Americans to art, music, and literature.

The grand opening of The Roots 101 African American Museum will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tours of the museum, and special guest appearances by community leaders and prominent figures in the African American community. The museum's founders, Lamont Collins and Junior Bridgeman, will be in attendance to share their vision for the museum and their hopes for its impact on the community.

"We are thrilled to open The Roots 101 African American Museum and share our rich history and culture with the world," said Lamont Collins, co-founder of the museum. "Our hope is that this museum will serve as a place of education, inspiration, and community building for people of all backgrounds."

The grand opening of The Roots 101 African American Museum is open to the public, and admission is free.
